Overview
The Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, popularly known as Puthumai Penn Thittam, is a visionary initiative by the Government of Tamil Nadu to promote higher education among girl students.
Under this scheme, eligible girls studying in government schools from Classes 6 to 12 and continuing their higher education (college or university level) receive monthly financial support to encourage their academic pursuits and independence.
