Code of Conduct & Rules

At Kongunaadu College of Education for Women, discipline is considered the foundation of academic and professional success. Every student is expected to maintain high standards of conduct, integrity, and responsibility throughout their course.

General Rules


  • ✔️ Students must strictly adhere to the rules relating to attendance, library usage, examinations, and fee payments.
  • ✔️ Punctuality is compulsory. Latecomers will not be permitted into the classrooms.
  • ✔️ Identity cards issued by the college must be carried at all times inside the campus.

Classroom Etiquette


  • ✔️ Students must stand up and greet faculty when they enter or leave the classroom.
  • ✔️ Silence should be maintained during class hours and in the corridors.
  • ✔️ Leaving a class without the lecturer’s permission is not permitted.
  • ✔️ Students must not call or disturb any peer from another class during lecture hours.

Campus Discipline


  • ✔️ Smoking, substance abuse, and possession of prohibited materials are strictly banned.
  • ✔️ Writing on walls, desks, or damaging college property is prohibited.
  • ✔️ Lights, fans, and projectors must be switched off when classrooms are not in use.
  • ✔️ Vehicles must be parked only in the designated parking area.

Library Rules


  • ✔️ Books must be handled carefully and returned on time.
  • ✔️ Silence must be maintained in the library to provide a study-friendly environment.
  • ✔️ Any loss or damage to library books will result in replacement charges.

Respect & Conduct


  • ✔️ Students must always be courteous to staff, fellow students, and visitors.
  • ✔️ Respect towards teachers, elders, and peers is mandatory.
  • ✔️ Any grievances must be submitted to staff members or the Principal through proper channels; direct confrontation is not encouraged.

Property & Facilities


  • ✔️ Students are responsible for the upkeep of classrooms, labs, and common areas.
  • ✔️ Misuse of laboratory equipment or college property will lead to strict disciplinary action.
  • ✔️ Theft or damage of college property is treated as a serious offence.

Celebrations & Events


  • ✔️ Cultural or social activities should only be organized with prior permission from the Principal.
  • ✔️ Students are encouraged to participate in educational tours, seminars, and cultural activities in an orderly and disciplined manner.

Disciplinary Action


  • ✔️ Violation of these rules will attract disciplinary measures ranging from warnings to suspension or expulsion depending on the severity of the misconduct.
