📝 Admission Guidelines

At Kongunaadu College of Education for Women, admissions are carried out with transparency and in accordance with the norms of NCTE and Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU). The college welcomes aspiring women graduates who are passionate about becoming dedicated, skilled, and socially responsible teachers.

Eligibility Criteria
🔹 For B.Ed. Programme
  • ✔️ Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters).
  • ✔️ Qualification: Any graduate degree in the 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern from a recognized university.
  • ✔️ Minimum Percentage (as per community quota):
    • OC – 50%
    • BC / BCM – 45%
    • MBC / DNC – 43%
    • SC / SCA / ST – 40%
  • ✔️ Candidates with postgraduate degrees in relevant subjects are also eligible.
🔹 For M.Ed. Programme
  • ✔️ Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters).
  • ✔️ Qualification: B.Ed. degree with minimum 50–60% aggregate marks.
  • ✔️ Additional Requirement: Teaching experience (2 years) may be preferred for admission in some cases.
Admission Procedure*
  • ✔️ Application Form* – Candidates must collect and submit the application form from the college office.
  • ✔️ Submission* – Submit the duly filled application form along with required documents.
  • ✔️ Verification* – All certificates will be verified by the admission committee.
  • ✔️ Selection* – Admission will be granted based on merit, reservation norms, and eligibility criteria prescribed by TNTEU.
  • ✔️ Confirmation* – Selected candidates will receive an admission confirmation and must pay the prescribed fees to secure their seat.

  • ✔️ 10th Standard Mark Sheet
  • ✔️ 12th Standard Mark Sheet
  • ✔️ UG Consolidated / Semester-wise Mark Sheets
  • ✔️ UG Provisional or Convocation Certificate
  • ✔️ Transfer Certificate (TC) from last attended institution
  • ✔️ Community Certificate
  • ✔️ Aadhar Card Copy
  • ✔️ 4 Recent Passport-size Photographs (with name written at the back)
  • ✔️ If applicable: PG Degree Certificate & PG Mark Sheets
