Committees

Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee ensures a safe, respectful, and student-friendly environment on campus. Chaired by the Principal with faculty members as nodal officers, the committee actively monitors student conduct and organizes awareness programmes. Regular campaigns, seminars, and orientation sessions make students aware of their rights and responsibilities, ensuring the college remains a zero-tolerance zone for ragging.

Anti-Drug Committee

Our Anti-Drug Committee works tirelessly to promote a drug-free campus and community. Through awareness drives, expert lectures, and counseling programmes, the committee educates students on the harmful effects of substance abuse. By instilling discipline and responsibility, the college encourages student-teachers to become advocates of healthy lifestyles in schools and society.

Activities

Youth Red Cross

The Youth Red Cross (YRC) unit instills in students a sense of service, compassion, and social responsibility. Members actively participate in blood donation camps, health awareness rallies, disaster relief assistance, and first-aid training. This initiative builds a culture of empathy, teamwork, and humanitarian service among teacher trainees.

Fine Arts

The Fine Arts Association provides a platform for students to explore and showcase their artistic talents. Activities include cultural festivals, competitions in music, dance, drama, and painting. These events not only highlight creativity but also strengthen confidence, communication skills, and appreciation for Indian culture and heritage.

Life Skills Programmes

Life skills are critical for success in teaching and in life. The college organizes regular programmes on communication, critical thinking, stress management, time management, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving. These sessions equip student-teachers with essential competencies to thrive personally and professionally.

Sports & Games

Sports and physical education are an integral part of our training. The college offers facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, encouraging students to participate in annual sports meets, inter-collegiate tournaments, and fitness programmes. Participation in sports builds discipline, leadership, teamwork, and resilience, qualities essential for future educators.

Educational Tours

Educational tours and field visits are arranged to provide practical exposure beyond classrooms. Visits to schools, universities, historical places, science centres, and cultural landmarks help broaden the perspective of teacher trainees. Such experiences enhance their pedagogical knowledge, cultural awareness, and social sensitivity.

Teaching Practice

Teaching practice forms the backbone of teacher education. Student-teachers undergo rigorous training in real classroom environments, practicing lesson planning, pedagogy, classroom management, and student engagement. Mentored by experienced faculty, this programme transforms theory into practice and builds confidence in teaching.

SUPW

SUPW is a vital component of our curriculum, enabling students to develop creativity, practical skills, and a spirit of service. Activities include craft work, soft toy making, painting, mehandi design, paper crafts, baking, and gardening. These hands-on experiences prepare teachers to guide schoolchildren in productive and creative pursuits, making learning enjoyable and purposeful.

Scholarships

The college extends financial support through scholarships, government aid, and fee concessions for deserving and meritorious students, particularly those from economically weaker sections. This initiative ensures that no deserving candidate is deprived of education due to financial constraints.

Free TET Coaching

To support aspiring teachers, the college offers free Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) coaching. Experienced faculty members conduct training sessions, mock tests, and practice classes to enhance success rates. This initiative has helped many of our graduates secure teaching positions in reputed schools.
